That's just the machine... not including the input devices... monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc..

Of course this is just an example... :)

the 3800 X2 is going for 122 (socket 939) and around 170 (AM2) as of last night. look it up on pricegrabber.com (that 122.00 is a VERY good price. and it's dual core.) i'd say get that instead.

if you get a 7900 you shouldn't get lag at all at max settings. the processor doesn't have much to do w/ lag anyways unless you're playing a game like dod:source where the game doesn't have amazing graphics but uses alot of cpu and ram. anyways that system should have NO PROBLEM at all.
 
buy a computer for less than a grand have it for 4 years then get a new one, saves money and is FDA approved
