copying data from cd rom

Hi
I tried to copy a file (about 650 megs) from my cd rom to my local drive. The CD was one i had created myself.
When the progress indicator was half way throuugh, the copying stalled and i got the error
data error(cyclic redundancy check)

my CD ROM is a sony cd-rw crx 230e, i have got 512 megs of ram.

try slowing down the drive speed. this error is a read error.

A CRC error occurs when the drive is not able to read from the disk properly .. Ensure the disk is not too badly scratched or somethin'

If ur still unable to do it ..try extracting ur files out using IsoBuster

I tried retreiving data from 2 seperate cds, they both came up withe the same error. I have checked (at least i think i have) the integrity of the cd rw by having it play one of my games.

how can i use isobuster to help me ?

IsoBuster reads raw data of the cd's ... It can extract data from disc's which is not retrievable elsewise.
