Im building my self a new comp off of newegg.com and just trying to decide which MB to get before i order it all.

Im getting a 3500+ AMD 64 and im trying to decide over these 2 boards i don't really understand the difference between them.

Asus Deluxe

Asus Premium

Also ive notice some people having problems with Asus MBs i dunno if it was just bad luck for them or they are really buggy. From reading these forums i see most people prefer the DFI's. If anyone has a link to one that thinks it would be a better choice to pick over these two please tell me.

Also im wanting to use SLI.

While im posting on here i goin to ask about graffics cards as well =). My last graffics card was a BFG 6600 GTOC and ive grown fond of the BFG brand, they tech support is awsome and lifetime warrenty to go with it. These are the two i am looking at...

7800 GT x2

7900 GT x2

Ive done alot of reading on these cards and have found that the 7900 runs hot and may have some bugs/artifacting, and the 7800 to be more stable. BFG is really the only company ive bought graffics cards from so i don't know how reliable other companys are, so any advice is appreciated.

Thank you very much for your help.

I would definately get the Premium, is has a bunch of better stuff (heatpipe for one)

As for the video cards y not get 2 7600GTs? ALL my friends with the 7900s are having problems. I use 2 of the 7600s in SLI and they work great, need no extra power, dont hog up a lot of space and run a LOT cooler.

Something else to think about, DX-10 is on the way and will need a different video card to work well. ( needs Vista too) But the DX-10 is supposed to be a big difference over DX-9.

Thanks for info i will read up on 7600s, but now one thing is bothering me...

How soon is DX10 goin to be out, maybe i should hold off on building all this untill the newer graffics cards come out. But if these new graffics cards are going to start a $500 i goin to stick with what is out now.

Also what happens if your graffics card is not DX10 compatible im assuming you can still play games but have trouble on newer games that use dx10?

If you wait then your never going to get a build done. :p I've had ASUS boards before and liked them very much. Had no problems out of any of them. As for the GPU... I would say go for a single 7900GT if your deciding to wait for DX10, which supposedly is coming out with Vista... So in that case... hold your breathe... :D your not going to see much performance over SLI with a single... unless of course your looking to OC and get the max frame rate for bragging rights...

but if it were me... I would go with the premium and one 7900gt and use the money from the second card to get a 3800 dual core which will drop in price tomorrow.
