98 PC issue

Win 98 se machine.... My computer boots up, after does the memory count and just stops. What things should I check for please?

Also, is the computer bootable? I'm assuming that the answer would be no.

I was working in ms word and as I was typing the computer blue screened on me.

Could this problem be related to your other one "System error"? Because it sounds like your system has some bad RAM. And itÂ’s Windows 98 so itÂ’s quite familiar with problems.

it's not at all related with the other problem i was having. Whar else do you alll think it could be please?

P.s win 98 blue screens alot from my experience but yeh probably bad ram

Me too. Seeing as though your computer freezes exactly after the memory check, I think you've got bad RAM.

You could access the CMOS and BIOS and try and disable it.
