hey my friend is looking to upgrade some ram and he has pc 3200 which from what i hear the pc **** represents the speed so could i get him say pc3500, pc3700, pc4000, ect. as long as it is the same pin mumber and is over or = to the speed of the motherboard?

If you get faster RAM, it is only going to default back to the original speed, which in this case seems to be PC3200. So, unless you are overclocking, then there is NO point in getting faster RAM.
