tried a lot of things to get my sound back with no luck, my pc is an Advent 3316 and its specs are on this site

First of all, check the volume controller. Slide all the bars upwards.

Have you installed the nessecary drivers for your audio card? If not, install them now.

Failing this, you may need to download the AC '97 codecs onto your machine.
