New Monitor

Ok I am looking for a new monitor instead of my 100$ CRT 20 inch monitor just because my graphics will look a lot better after it. I was looking at a 17inch monitor in Best buy.

Would this monitor be good for gaming? I am trying to get the cheapest but yet reliable montor I can get since I still need to pay off my pc.

That would be an OK monitor. For gaming, it's better than an old CRT, but not as nice as a ViewSonic. Defeniltey worth the money though. If you have a DVI video card, make sure to get the cable.

Yeah, not as good as a Samsung or a Viewsonic, definitely. That's a good monitor for the money, though. Like talldude said, use dvi is possible. Don't buy the cable retail, it'll cost like $80. I got mine for $13 on Newegg.

yes 8 ms response time is good enough for gaming.

acer is a great brand. but for 50 dollars more you can pick up a 19 inch widescree

ok I was searching through and I found the same monitor on the same site and it seems to be better and its only 99$! Plz tell me this is true or if there is something less that I should know about. Plz reply if this is a good monitor for gaming.

That model is being discontinued, they've been having a monitor liquidation. I don't like online mir but if you're comfortable then go ahead.
