From what I've read, conroe will be one of the smartest moves Intel has ever made but I do think that AMD will invent something to top it.

Of course AMD is going to have something to top it. It's just a matter of when. Generally Intel is on top for a while, then AMD is on top, then Intel, etc. AMD isn't out of the game at all, Intel just went to a 65nm process that beats AMD's 90nm process. When AMD gets to 65nm it'll be a whole other story....maybe..

I've read a lot about the future of processors and, as far as I can tell, AMD is planning to stick with 90 nm for a little while longer.
