recovery cd

hey my old computer is packard bell idesign, i am tryign to recover the computer, i have both the recovery cd and floppy but non of them autoplay, i can view the files but i dnt know which icon to click on, can sum1 help me outt plz?

yes im using xp, when i put the recovery cd in, nothing happens, i can go to my computer and view the files on cd, but i dnt no what to do with them

I think you might have to change your boot order, I'm not too sure though, change your boot order from Harddrive booting first to your CD-ROM then reboot while the recovery CD is in the drive.

Change boot order in BIOS, then boot to your recovery disk.
Follow directions.
