leave on or turn off?

i usually keep my computer on as long as it can go, cause im usually downloading something, or i would turn it off overnight. but i also hear that turning on a computer uses up the same amount of electricity as leaving it on for an hour or something like that. and u can take that to the bank.

Turn mine off everynight, especially as the pc is in my bedroom so i dont want the constant humming when im trying to sleep and plus it heats my room up with this hot weather

Yeah, that's what I do. Don't really see the point of leaving it on, unless I am DLing something. Though, in the winter, I leave it on sometimes to warm up my room.

I for one use all 3 of mine for either TF folding, or SETI@home.

i win 2 cores on my main comp,l my xbox and about another 3 comps i have folding.

anyway this topic has been buried so many times it's not funny. just remember what happened last time this came up guys.
