Wow. I just received my logitech G15 keyboard and seagate 320gb 16mb cache 7200rpm hd from newegg....
Anyway....I already had 2 160gb seagates......so I backed my stuff up...set up the 2 in a RAID 0 array and reinstalled windows xp.
And OMG I never knew the difference. The windows xp loading bar only gets to about 3-4 of those square thingies before it finishes...and applications load VERY quickly.
If anyone is considering a RAID setup...I highly recommend it. I hear people complain about increased heat and so maybe they'll fail or something...but my thermaltake soprano case has a 120mm intake fan that blows right over the 2 drives in the array and they are always cool to the touch.
I've dedicated my RAID array drives to my OS, games, and applications, and my 320gb single HD for media and general storage.
