Have a gander. It's much more than 5FPS. The Conroe wins in EVERY one of the test in AnandTech's review. The E6600 is supposed to cost ~$315 and is even better than the AMD A64 FX-62. The E6300 is supposed to cost ~$190 and is better than a AMD X2 4400+.

Do some research before posting blasphemy.

Yea seriously, they pwn an AMD processor thats over a grand for like a quarter of the price. You also gotta take into consideration that not everybody here plays games. They use their PCs for other things which a prcoessor like that would do them good. As to waiting for G80, well thats obvious. It has DX10 support fot the new OS thats supposed to coming out in 2007 and SUPPOSEDLY will have DX10 ready by then. Dont cross your fingers though.

i really want a x1900xt.. but i don't like the hastle of changing drivers...

i tried installing my friends 7900gtx.. and it kept saying "it could not find hardware thats compatible with nvidia drivers" ... though the gtx was clearly in.... i even uninstalled everything ati.. literally everything.. i went through the driver folder and handpicked em.. then i went through search for ati and deleted them there.. i reseated the card and everything but no good.... soooo we're gonna try a reformat and try again another day...

soon i will go over with my compy and see if it works in mine.. thinking it may very well be his "compaq" mobo... hehe the compaq i sold to him! hahaha
