My Situation

I will be attending college soon and will be needing a new laptop. I will be getting my B.S. in computer Sciences. I am an Avid gamer and video editor. I need a computer that can satisify all my needs and get me through my classes for graphics design as i go for my degree in Game design and programming. I dont know that much about all the things that make a computer work but if anyone can make any suggestions i would be glad to look at them...my price range is between $1000- $2000....the lower the better. Thanks for your help.

wow, a graphics designer and a gaming rig in a laptop. would u be willing to settle for a desktop? i mean u can get a REALLY kickass desktop that u can build urself for $2000, LIKE REALLY KICKASS

the higher end dell xps series could do that
but it might cost upwards of $2000 bucks (US?)
