Removing video card heatsink

Does removing you video card heatsink void the warranty?
I also used Artic Silver 5

Yes it does, but they never find out. all you would have to do it put the old hs when you ship it back out.

Gigabyte is the company,
so they wont check under the HS /thermal compound (AS5)?
or
wont they see the pins that hold the HS has been bent a little?

i dont think i know of a company that doesnt void the warranty when the cooler is taken off apart from leadtek, they allowed my friend to put AS5 on his 7800GS without the warranty boing voided. it now loads at 50*C, at 575MHz.
