What would be a better buy? I Wouldnt really overclock it.

depends if you have the money or not, get the one that you can get your hands on.

I guess wat it boils down to is what do you have the money for and how many slots do you have open on your machine... they are bacisally the same card... they're both 512MB, but the GTX has a higher core/clock speed... but if your not really going to OC then what difference does it make... at tat speed you visually won't see a change anyway...

Get a 7900GT from EVGA. They're only about $260, and that's for the KO Edition, with a very nice heatsink.

if you plan on overcloking that 7900gt then you'll prolly need a new heatsinkfan and its not guaranteed to go to the 7900gtx.. i'd just go for the 7900gtx it comes with a much better hsf and its preoverlocked to 7900gtx

It's actually pretty hard to get a 7900GT to GTX speed. To truly get there, you need a dangerous voltmod.

Volt modding my GPU was probably the easiest thing Iv ever done.


and yes Im at GTX speed...and above.....Its not hard at all...

Just make sure you sink your IC's and your good to go.
