What will processors do for gaming?
Load quicker?
Graphics?
Smoothness?

What will be different in my games if I used a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ oppose to a 2800+?
Thx

I THINK that it makes it makes it run smoother. For now, a 2800+ is great and as long as you have a good video card and enough ram ...it should be ok

there is no point in going with the 3000+ for now unless u need video editing or etc.

if u have the money tho, go with 3000+ because ofcourse it will be better for the future

ok, another question would it be better to get the 3000+ and a radeon 9800 pro 128mb or the 2800+ with the 9800 pro 256 mb
Both options are with 1 gb ( 512 x2)

I have a 2800+ and a $200 (probably better out there now, or this is cheaper) Geforce fx 5600 Ultra, and 512 mb of ram. I am an avid Raven Shield player (One of the most graphic intense games out there), and I can run with some of the best players in the United States. 2800+ and a decent graphic card (No less than a card comparable to mine) will suit you well.

thats a tough question...but i think i would go with the 2800 n then 256mb for the vid card

No, no, no, you don't need 256mb in a video card:rolleyes: Games can't utilize that much yet:confused:

I'd go with the AMD64 3000+ and the 9800 Pro;) The 2800 is good, if you can't afford the AMD64, but I'd pay the extra for the 3000+

Merlin. the 2800+ is a 64 too, i didnt know if you knew that, does that change your mind at all?

No, not exactly.....I've never seen benchmarks for the 2800+ 64, but still bet that the 3000+ is abit faster:confused:

Whats the price diff.?
