ok so i am pretty much close to having my setup complete but i am trying to decide between these two. THey are basically the same except for a few changes in a couple of parts. Which one do you prefer? Also I would like to know if the cooling will be adequate running stock and also OC'd as I might do that in the future.

Thanks for the help

the x2 isn't 170 bucks. And the conroe wasn't 999 so don't get your hopes up. no promises on any future prices/drops.

yea i was just hoping that it will because thats what they said but you might be right :(

is it the mobo that is the best for the future, cause I figuered having the 74gig raptor would be the advantage in the first build.

Second one definitely. I don't think the raptor is worth it if it's not in raid. On the topic of the prices drop, they probably will drop to that level seeing how badly Intel is schelaking AMD with Conroe.

you dont need the 700 W power supply, considering your comp only draws about 350 W and around 450ish at load, dont spend so much on a comp, after spending 2 grand i look at myself wondering, man i need a life, xD so i try to go outside now instead of playing counterstrike, but im suffering from withdrawal symptoms such as pretending to play cs on a 500 mhz comp while imaging headshoting ppl at long A, HEADSHOT. man im bored

The X6800 is going to be $999. Didn't it seem weird that Newegg had that kind of a price? And it was only up for less than a day?

The X2 will most likely be about $170 because that was official from AMD.
