i was going to build a new computer but i have a delema should i got with two nvidia 7900 sli config or go with one bfg oced 7900gt?

lol, if you can affored a sli 7900gt go for it, on higher resolutions it does get some sort of advantage over a non sli'd 7900gt :p something like 15-20%.

But its a matter of how deep is your pocket, lol.

I was about to say that... a GTX is all you would need for a awhile, until the new DX10 comes of age and the new cards come out that will support it.

actualy if he's gonna go with a 480$+ gpu, go with the x1900xt, its as good and sometimes better than a GTX.

ps, and it costs much less lol... and u can EASLY overclock it to an xtx rate.

yeah, how much do you have to spend? if youre loaded then its a pretty good idea but if youre as broke as i am then its really not worth it.

x2 7900GT SLi - 500$
1 X1900XT - 360$
1 7900GTX - 479$+/-
1 7950GX2 - 550~600$!!!

Get an x1900xt, its reasonably not overpriced, kicks-*** a gtx on most of applications and games, after playing on both, the AA/AF of the x1900xt on HDR looks MUCH MUCH better than on a 7900gt/x .

Oh and if you want, you could do a small overclock [25mhz on core, 50 on ram] and its as strong as an XTX.

Get a 7950GX2 instead of two 7900GTs.

Bingo. If you can afford two 7900gts, you can afford a 7950GX2, which is faster than 2 7900gts in SLI.
