Acceptable Power Supply?

just look for a psu with good amperage. and always keep your psu cool and ventilated because they don't work well when hot.
 
So the antec smartpower i reference above should be alright then? It has modular connections, will it be enough connections for the hardware i mentioned? I will eventually fill the tower w/ harddrives i would imagine...
 
its fine 500watt is enough, from your specs right now your system would be drawing 300w, so dont owrry about it

Well....that card and my PSU are my ONLY nice choices. Its part of my first build and I have made some real stupied choices in trying to save money. Example:

1. Cause of a huge rebate (and not doing my homework) I purchased a mobo/cpu bundle that consist of Gigabyte K8ne socket 754 mobo with a AMD Athlon 64 +3400 2.4Ghz cpu.
A) No upgrading
B) No duel channel ram

And thats just the beginning but one learns from one's mistakes. :(
