Video card: Radeon 9550

RAM: 1536MB

Mobo: ASUS Kelus

Monitor: 17" NEC LCD1712

Have about $700.. what should I spend it on on upgrading my system?

Yeah, gotta agreee with brinks.

Socket A's are great, but they are a bit long in the tooth.

If you want to build on a budget, snag a 64 bit when the price drops in a couple of weeks.

Get a decent mobo... ABIT KN8 Ultra or Foxconn NF4SK8AA-8KRS Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI or so.

You can use your current RAM for now, as well as your hard drive and optical drive(s).

Grab a decent graphics card (PCI-E) eVGA 256-P2-N562-AX Geforce 7900GT

Get any case that catches your eye, but a good PSU (Antec, 500W+)

Once you have that, you can take what's left over from the $700 and invest it in some faster RAM and a SATA drive.

I currently have a ABS case I got off a newegg, it was 120 or so.. but as far as the visual look goes.. its not so hot =(

Also, how much does liquid cooling kits cost?

Kits work, but not any better than high-quality air HS/F.

Check out the Zalman 9500, ThermalTake's Big Typhoon, Scythe's Ninja.

idea for what? to upgrad your existing rig. for it #1 the processor then the video card, but as others have said 700 can get you a nice sweet rig especially when amd drop the price on 939's. definityly up grade man it'll be a waste to the 700 bucks unless that socket A is special to you.
