Sorry, but it has been a while since I've been to this site. I have a couple of questions that I need answered.

My friend is building a new computer and would prefer to use his old graphics card (All in wonder ATI 9800 for AGP). He needs a new motherboard and processor and would prefer to not exceed to much more than $300. He would like to overclock in the future. Any suggestions for a good motherboard and processor?

Also, would a 3800+ venice core maybe be good, or should a 3700+ San Diego core work better... it really boils down to if it is better to have a faster frequency or a bigger L2 Cache.

since you'll be using the same ram, you're forced to get a socket 939 motherboard. the best motherboard that comes to mind is the Asrock one with both pci-e and agp...

oh and the venice is a lot cheaper than the san diego.. so just go for the 3800+

you still have $85 left..

so i guess you can go socket AM2 and get new ram as well..

or just wait till a few days from now when dual cores will drop in price and grab a X2 3800+
