Cant decide on a laptop any suggestions

I'am currently stuck between buying two laptops i have no idea of which one is better I am looking at the Acer Aspire 5502WXMI and the Compaq V2610. Has anyone used these laptops or any suggestions on either of these

i say second one, it has a faster processor and much faster sys bus as well as built in wireless(first one doesnt say if it des or not.)
 
i'm sure they both have wireless.

they're pretty much the same.. but i'd take the first one. centrino is better.
 
yeh centrino is better
more reliable
anyway u didnt actually say wat u wer looking at paying for either so its hard to recommend 1
if the compaq is significantly cheaper id suggest that
 
Thanks for your suggestions my price range is anywhere up to 899 cdn without taxes , no thats not a alarge range but its just a starter laptop
 
the first one for sure, it has 2MB L2 Cache, whereas the second has 128KB of L2 Cache, thats ridiculous, and the centrino is just better overall.
 
Make sure you get a cheap one around $500 or less. They get outdated much faster than desktops and come out with new features really fast. Laptops should not be used to try to replace a desktop.
