amd 3800+

my little bro is going to build his first pc and is wondering if the 64 bit athlon 3800+ will run the newest titles such as Fear, HL2, and CSS.

Were planing on a 1gb of corsair and a evga 7600gt. I guess anotherthing is the graphics card do you think there is a better option.

forgot to specify the socket thats a 939.

If you are willing to wait a week or two, AMD is planning on lowing their prices. You can get the X2 3800+ for under $200. Will be well worth it.

Well, now that I think about it, it may be only for Socket AM2, not 939. Maybe someone else knows.

I saw a list floating on here somwhere and the X2 3800+ for 939 should be going down to 195 retail. Its a good deal and a great processor. BTW those games arent the latest titles anymore

195 wow that would be awsome I myself spent 500 on the 4400+ x2 a few months ago.

well about the graphics card, for the budget the 7600 by evga is good, but if you want an awsome card and have about 260 to spend I would get the 7900gt by evga.

Are you talking about the Dual Core or the single core?
