Looks nice and in depth

Sticky?

Thx tobes.

Edited guide added in a couple things in the misc section.

Put some more factual stuff in on some of the cards that i felt were lacking a better explination and that some people may see as opinion.

6600 pci-e 256mb

i run an nVidia 6600 256mb PCI-Express and it runs F.E.A.R. on high at about 25-45 fps from what i remember and its not a very expensive card..wont keep up with new games for long but still..bang for your buck

I'm sorry but this is so outdated and disorganized. You can start by killing off any ATI second and third generation cards (9x00, Xx00 cards) and any Nvidia 6th generation cards along witht he 7800's, as they have been replaced. (6x00, 78xx)

There are only three card groups you should be looking at for both ATI and Nvidia:

ATI:

X1300 - X1300, X1300PRO,
X1600 - X1600PRO, X1600XT
X1900 - X1900GT, X1900XT, X1900XTX

Nvidia:

7300 - 7300LE, 7300, 7300GS, 7300GT
7600 - 7600GS, 7600GT
7900 - 7900GT, 7900GTX, 7950GTX

[funny how that worked out this time around, huh?]

Start with those models, kill off any others above, post more realistic and current prices from Newegg.com and I will re-review this guide, because in it's current state, it's really not that helpful with.

Good luck, a good, solid, recent video card guide could be used around here.

i agree totaly with the post above, wheres your 7600GT? thats some bang for your buck, and the x1300. get some specs in there to back up what your saying and it might actually be usefull, at the minute its just a blur of some video cards decribed with relatively un-usefull information.

What about the 7600 series, I don't think you mentioned that or gave any commentary bout it.

And I dont think the 6 series hasnt been replaced with the 6x00, they have been replacd with the 76xx :), as they have been replaced. (6x00, 78xx)

:) It's funny how on this forum you will never have a video card guide cause yuo cannot edit yuor post after 24H :)

why would you put prices? the essential aspects of the cards that affect it is its speed, installed memory, data band width, etc etc

there's so many variations....such as unclocked versions and stuff

but i guess u just put the prices to do a comparison *shrugs*
