Hello everyone, I'm having quite an annoying issue.

Whenever my computer starts up, it goes through a series of unreadable, pixelated screens. I have a nVidia 6800 Ultra with an Antec 500W PSU. One of the two fans on my PSU is not spinning, considering my video card requires a minimum of 480W, could that be my problem?

I know my monitor works perfectly and I'm confident in my motherboard and RAM.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Either your PSU or graphics card is the problem, or the compatibility between your motherboard and graphics card (the latter which you will need to check with your motherboard manufacturer). Either way, a 500W quality PSU is sufficient enough to power the system, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility that either the PSU or graphics card are faulty. If you have a spare card or PSU, try every possible combination first.

Thanks for the replies...

This issue has occurred on a completely different motherboard.

It works with my Radeon 9100, although if the PSU isn't giving out enough power, it could cause problems with my 6800 Ultra, the Radeon 9100 only requires a fraction of the power.

I do think it's my 6800 Ultra though, is there any chance of being able to fix this?

I don't think I have the warranty. :(
