i went slightly over budget.. but its worth it
the reason people are saying dual cores will be cheaper soon because as intel releases their latest cpu code named "conroe" AMD will try to stay competitive by slashing their current cpu prices, and so dual cores will be cheaper. maybe you should wait a bit to see if you can get a dual core for around the same price!
and yes, i play cs 1.6. but i live in canada, don't think we can really compare... i would think our internet connection is very different..
(make sure all hte parts work properly before you take them to the DR )
