I need some ideas on building a 1000$ gaming system..That the max I can go right now...All I need is the tower.

I went over by $50. :confused:

But that system will do you good. I was surprized by how much room I had with just a $1000, this will run all the new games incredibly fast, and future games too since its dual core. :)

Oh, and keep in mind that in a few days when Conroe finally comes out, AMD's prices will drop too. :D

Yeah, you should save at least a $100 on the 3800+. My suggestion would be to put it toward a better PSU like Antec TruePower 550W. Everything else the General said I agree with.
 
I also only have a $1000 budget, is what The General posted the best and most-reliable PC that you can build with that pricerange off newegg?
 
Yeah, I'd say. MSI, eVGA, AMD, Corsair, Seagate its all major brand names, the only shadey one is BenQ for the DVD-burner, but I've just never used one before. I have that case, and the PSU that comes with it is good enough for that setup. I had to upgrade because I have 4 harddrives.
