This happened to me once too. it was so bad theres half red and half blue on my monitor. I tried deguass but it wouldnt work. Down-step transformers work a bit but what i found that works the best was a PENCIL SHARPENER (electric one). Put it lengthwise parallel to front of monitor about 1 inch away. put a pencil in and rotate between 1 and 2 inches away, 5 seconds later take it away and that should do the trick
