Sata Master 1 problem

hey guys, i just built a new computer....and it has four integrated SATA hdd ports on the mobo...they are labled 1,2,3, and 4...i have the sata drive installed in port 1 and it is recognized in the bios...it boots fine, i've installed windows and such...but the problem comes when i open My Computer, the primary hdd is drive letter I: and i cant get it to change....i have a built in card reader and the removable storage drives and cd-rom's are drive letters C-H and...even when i remove the removable storage and cd-rom it does that....am i going to have to reformat with the card reader out of the system, then install it? As always...Thanks for the help!!! and Happy 4th of July to us Americans

exactly....you cant change a mbv drive letter but you can change the slave drive letter.

reinstall with the xtra drives unhooked
