Not sure if this is the right section for this...
My Parents Puter just turned off on them and now it wont power back up. They called me for some reason????? the power and processor lights come on, neither one blinks, after awhile you get a weird rainbow effect on the monitor...That is all the it will do.
I have pulled both memory sticks and tried using one than the other as a friend told me sometimes if Ram goes bad it will cause probs at boot up.
I have no clue and thought I would ask here before getting raped at the local puter repair store.
