Man those Conroe-ready boards are expensive! I wouldn't decide on a motherboard until Conroes are out. Maybe there will be more to choose from then. G.SKILL is always good RAM. Get the standard 7900GT and overclock it yourself. You could get two 250GB HDD's for $80+ dollars less than that Raptor and put them in RAID 0 and have 350GB more space and comparable performance. Oh, and good call on the IDE cable, that motherboard doesn't come with any.

Yeah, no need to buy parts that you can't use .

Oh, I forgot to mention, if you plan on overclocking your 7900GT you will definetly want to get an aftermarket VGA cooler. I recommend the Zalman VF900.
