Correct. But your motherboard needs to have SATA support. What is your motherboard? If you don't know, look inside your case on the motherboard. A SATA connection looks like this:

If you can't find any of these, it's unlikely you can use that HDD and will have to get an IDE (PATA) version. IDE are the large ribbon cables; you definetly have those.

You're welcome. If your bought that motherboard new (and retail), it should've came with plenty of cables, including SATA.
