graphics card

i am want to add a video card to my desktop but it has no AGP slot since it has onboard graphics. i heard of PCI EXPRESS GRAPHICS. is that where you put the grapics card in the PCI slot? how do i know if my motherboard will support those kinds of graphics. i have no idea what motherboard i hav.

It would be normal pci then not pci-express.

Yeah you can add a card but your not going to get nothing really fancy,The best pci card you could use would either be a fx 5500 or if you can find one an fx 5700.

i dont anything fancy just something to be able to play sims 2.

do you think i could get one at walmrt superstore, target superstore, officemax this are the only stores nearby.

If you're lucky. I've seen video cards like that at Wal-Mart before, stuff way outdated and way overpriced. You should purchase it online. Check out www.newegg.com and www.zipzoomfly.com.
