Im almost 100 percent positive that all 7900 GPU's are based on the same PCB

It seems like all the companys cut some corners, I mean being forced to put heatsinks on the IC's is not really what Id expect.

Yeah Gaara I was thinking the same thing but there is one problem

the sticker on the back the cards.

Remove it and warranty = byebye

and if you ask for a 7900GTX RMA they see that sticker and then its all downhill from there..

I may have mis-interprided what you put forth, so my apologies...Im not sure.

naaah son, I thought the same thing and thought I screwed when I wasn't paying attention and tore that serial thing off my 6800GS and then later had to RMA...they asked no questions and I got back a new one

And what would the sticker have to do with a softmod? It doesn't apply to you considering you already took the leet way of doing things and it worked for ya, but I'm just forward the idea for anyone considering vmodding their 7900GT that there may be an easier way =/

Well I wasent so sure what you ment by "soft mod"

EDIT:

googled it and Now I know what you mean....sorry bout that..:)

EDIT:

Well Now Im not sure if I should go for 1.5

Im idiling at 40 C and load dosent go above 60...
Plus Im getting an awsome core clock already....

once I get my multimeter Il do the extremely easy ram mod...

Im just worried about those IC's....I really dont want to damage them......
