I have a nVidia 6800GT. I'm pretty sure there's a problem with it. Whenever I play a game, I can play them fine, but i have all these little white dots, and white lines, and random graphics shooting across the screen(lines, boxes, etc) I don't know what the problem is, I've changed the resolution and still have the same problem. The game settings are on default for my card.

ah ****

I tried tons of drivers.

I don't know, it must be broken.

How can it die so quick?

I purchased it maybe a year and 6 months ago..tops.

thx

Try this. Remove the heat sink and fan from the GPU, remove the old thermal paste and put on new pastse (or replace the fan: Newegg). I had a 6600gt that was runnig at 100 degrees and simply replace the thermal paste and the temp now runs routinely at 52 degrees. If it is a BFG card you can simply RMA the card and they will replace it no questons asked!! Try the thermal paste refresh and see if the artifacts go away. sounds to me like tghe card is overheating.
