hello, i am new here and dont know much about computers. i need to get a new computer for college. i am planning on getting it from cyberpowerpc.com. the school i am going to is giving the sudents a software package which includes microsoft xp pro. so i can save like 100$ by ordering the pc without microsoft xp but i am not sure if i will be able to install it. i was wondering how hard it is to install the OS. thanks in advance.:D

EASY.. Ive done it plenty of times..

theres also tons of guides online that you can follow.. ally ou really need to do is boot from CD, create a partition (it basically does it for you) and let it install.. the only trhing the user does is to tell the system your name and set the time and date...

and of course customize it after its installed..

Stick the CD in the drive and turn the computer on.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install your OS.

i just order the computer. i cant wait til i recieve it. thanks for all the help.

Make sure you get all the drivers and stuff, no big deal.

In fact, I think if you run that "Windows Update" thing, it installs drivers now. I dunno though, I'm a Windows n00b. (I like being a Windows n00b :D)
