i heard Maxtor Hard Drives dont work well with Nvidia nForce chips. is it true?
maxtor MaxLine III /SATA II/16mb cache/ 250 gb. ? with ePox nforce 4 SLi mobo ?
will it work

Thats BS, it will work. But they are considered less reliable than other HDDs.

Didn't Seagate buy Maxtor? If they're still selling drives under the Maxtor name, the quality might have improved.

Why would a specific HD not work w/ a specific chipset? Come on even a n00b would be able to tell thats a bunch of honky. Ive used nothing but Maxtor and Nvidia soo yea. It will be fine.

Just checked, Seagate still sells Maxtor HDDs. I would assume they're more reliable now, but they might be using the same factories or something like that. I really do not know.

Actually, I have read reports of the newer versions of Maxtors' drives not working properly with nF4 chips.

Not really sure. I'm thinking the latest series, but I don't know the number.
