and yes, stick with AMD. the 3500+ is MUCH better than the 3.0ghz intel, ESPECIALLY in gaming.

Unfortunalty, if you go with the am2 processor you have to change to a am2 socket mboard and, as well, get ddr2 ram instead of ddr.

Looks good ....get the 667 ram or higher cause those am2 boards support 800 speed ram....however the 800 stuff is too much $ for you so go with 667. Get either 1gb now or 2gb, whatever you can afford. U can always add another gb later..
