have amd only got the one (3200+) processor that is run on a 400 fsb?

Are they liekly to make faster ones on the 400 fsb?

They also make a 3000+ that has a 400MHz FSB.

You could go with an AMD 64. They have the FSB integrated into the chip. :)

Exactly, so if you have a AMD64 chip your FSB is basicly the same as the processor speed because the memory controller is on-die;)

so would it be worth waiting for 6 months or so for the 64 bit processors to settle down into a standard socket?

Hmm, well yeah, but your gonna pay alot of money for a 64 bit CPU:confused:

If your on a budget then the 3200+ is a good choice:confused:

The AMD64? No..... And there doesn't have to be:confused:

I read in CPU magazine today that because the AMD64 has the on-die memory controller which eliminates the Northbridge that you can't run RAM faster than 400mhz;)
