Ok, my dvd burner won't burn to a cd or dvd. It will read and do everything else but burn to a disc. It's not a software problem because I tried reinstalling my software which was nero, and even tried different programs to use to burn. I also tried to reinstall my drivers for the burning drive. So I determined it's not a software problem unless it's windows. Please help.

At first I would replace the IDE cable that connects your CD/DVD drive to the motherboard and switch the power plug also. Then I would try using a len cleaner like this one http://www.computercleanusa.com/cd.asp
Afterward if nothing seem to work, I would assume it's faulty and just buy a brand new one or if you have a warranty on it then get it replace.
