want SLI though. I just mapped out three build basically for the same price...

939 3800+ with a soundcard and zalman 7000

AM2 3800+ (upgrade to X2 if RHT is true, not none the less, am2 = compatable)

Conroe E6300 (Comp for all conroes which would keep me set for years...)

they all shimmy out to around 1200 to the door. : /

I feel like theres SOOO much performance available if only i could justify spending the extra few bucks ontop of an aleady $$$$$$ build.

A very nice setup but i run an MSI board and it performs very well for gaming so you could look into that mine was only like $70 also if your doing intense gaming i would look into a better mouse and a keyboard.
I've Favored Zboards and Razer mice(copper heads).

You don't need SLI. Price/performance ratio isn't that great. The only good ratio I've seen is from the 7950GX2, but still thats like $600.

7900GTX = $500
7900GTX SLI = $1000

7900GT = $300
7900GT SLI = $600

7950GX2 = $600

The 7950GX2 is just 2 7900GTX's fused together. They are the same price as 2 7900GTs SLI'd with much better performance. In my mind, that is the best price/performance high-end card.

I don't plan on buying SLI WITH the build, rather monnnnnths later, (if my CPU still holds its own, it sure as **** should though. ) but by then the price of a 2nd card should be much lower. IDK, I'm going to do it for the G80 like I said though, so who knows...
