Which path to go

Hey, I want to get one of the following processors and I was wondering how much of a performance difference stepping makes..

theyre both AMD 64 3500+ 2200GHz operating speed (I plan to over clock)

The difference is about 10 bux, so I was wondering is one any better than the other?


Also, this is part of a newer system that Im building and i am under budget constraints. Is it better to wait for a X2 processor under 125 when the prices drop? Will they even get that low? And if so would the X2 (probably with a lower clock) at that price be any better than the processors I asked about above?

(I wont upgrade to AM2 for a few years, Im hoping to get 3 or 4 years out of this upgrade:

I think the E3 stepping is a Venice core, and the E4 is a Manchester core, though I may be wrong.

Typically, the Venice is better for overclocking.
