Hello,

I placed an old 120 GB Samsung IDE hard drive into a hard drive enclosure. The hard drive enclosure told me to change my hard drive into "master" configuration. So, I looked here: http://www.samsung.com/Products/HardDiskDrive/support/Download/userguide/usersguide_02.htm and set my hard drive to Master in upper 32 GB. Is that correct?

Okay, all of my files appear on the computer, but many folders and files cannot be open. When I click on the folder, it says cannot save or no access. I'm not sure what the error message is in English because my OS is in Chinese.

Is my hard drive corrupt? I used the Windows hard drive tools to check my hard drive already.

I need the folders that I can't open!

Thanks for any help in advance.

Could it be that you don't have permissions for these files?

Use an administrator account and take ownership of the files.

I am using an administrator account to access my hard drive, but it still gives me the same error. :/
