Sound Card Drivers on a Dell

I have a Dell Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 (Dell) sound card in a Dell Demension 4600 I am fixing for a friend. It seems I can install patch drivers, not the whole thing, and it installs fine except for the multimedia controller which when I manually tell it to find drivers it installs them but then when you finish it, it says "Access Denied". Wtf. This was after a free install of Windows.

Note: I got the creative diagnostics and it tried to run tests and it found the hardware but, failed all other tests. Whenever I go to get drivers other then on site it says it fails to find that hardware.

uninstall all the drivers, your driver cleaner to finish it up, take the card out, re-seat it then try it again
