will it be able to run on here? I know i need to run it on 4x agp, but people said its not that big of a difference. I just want to make sure its compatable. thanks

i also have 2000+ amd athlon proccessor and 512mb ddr ram

It should operate, just only in 4x mode. Check with ECS first for any known issues with the graphics card. If you mainly play games, AGP 8x isn't reall worth squat.

ya i mainly play games, so 4x and 8x isnt a big difference in games? Thats what ive heard, then what is it mainly used for? I guess in my mind it had to do with 3d graphics of some sort..

yep it should work... hmm... problem is, does your PSU have enough power for it? I dont know what your old graphics card is nor do I know your PSU, so cant make a conclusion for you :p

my card i have now is radeon 7000 64 mb card. And im running a 250 watt power supply. I was thinking about getting the card, then getting a new power supply later on if im having troubles. If i need to upgrade, what do you recommend?

Although the 9600 consumes less power than its predecessors (9500, 9700), you should be running at least 300 watts, along with some extra left in reserve. Just be sure to get a quality supply (350/400 recommended).

yep always get sufficient power and FANS too, the 9600 would be alot hotter than the 7000... if im correct. hmm, get around 450, it should be enough for ur fans and the new graphics too
