Would it be possible? What programs what you need to put?If the programs cost money, price is not an issue, willing to spend a good amount.

Yes, All you have to do is turn it off and walk away.

Serious Answer:

No, and to be honest, there are no apps out there that will block you from everything. To quote a genius (me) : The best Anti-Virus, is a knowledgeable user.

Is it helpful to have 5 or so adware programs running at once?I really don't want to get a mac just because it doesn't get viruses.

Running at once is no good. Having them on hand, incase of outbreak is valuable. AV/A-Spy programs are source hogs. Having them running at the same time would not be efficient.

Heres a few

Follow these instructions carefully

Download ALL 11 programs and update if needed.

Ad Aware SE Personal Free

Ad-aware Messenger Service Plugin

Ad-Aware VX2 Cleaner Plug-In 2.0

Spybot Search and Destroy Free

Windows Defender 2 Beta

HijackThis

CWShredder

Ewido

CCleaner

Cleanup!

Follow these steps

Delete the prefetch folder C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch, this folder will come back on next reboot.

Delete all cookies and temporary internet files in the control panel, Internet Options.

Go to Start, run, type msconfig, go to startup, disable everything except your antivirus, Firewall, click apply, don¡¦t reboot yet.

Download Msconfig Cleanup below

Msconfig Cleanup

Run Msconfig Cleanup after you unchecked the items you were told to uncheck and recheck, click "Select All", then click "Clean up Selected", then click "Quit". Make sure your antivirus and firewall are not checked.

Now run each Spyware program 1 by 1. Running all 3 at the same time will slow most systems down.

When each program has finished scanning, remove everything.

Now go to the recycle bin and delete everything that is in it.

Then run CCleaner „² make sure you run the Cleaner section of Windows and Applications and then the Registry Cleaner. Make a backup if you wish while running the Registry Cleaner when it asks you.

When finished with the scans, reboot, and go into Safe Mode and run these scans again, remove everything they find, and then reboot back into Windows in normal mode.

Then run HiJackthis!

Save the log, copy and paste the log on www.techist.com
Do not attach the log, copy and paste always. This will make things go much faster.

Yea that is true about source hogs.I don't have a spyware problem right now,but I get it alot and would like to stop it completely(which I know is impossible).Ok when I do get a problem,I will do what you listed. Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it.

You should be pretty much safe if you run your account as a Limited User. Use only the adminsitrator account to install or modify your computer. Run atleast 1 good anti-virus software and have a couple of anti-spyware application installed and update it daily. A firewall is also a good idea to have running. Try not to use IE, too much vulnerabilities being exploited on it, instead run something like Firefox.

Running Firefox or Opera is the best defense against Spyware and Adware. Both have great protection.

I run Opera full time and Firefox part time. IE7 only when i have to do something with M$ Sites.

Out of the last 2 years with this setup i have only come across 4 pieces of spyware or adware. They were easily detected and removed by Zone Alarm. Let alone Windows Defender. Safe practice is highly recommended over more applications.

A few rules...no porn, no warez/keygen, dont download programs from file sharing networks/check extension of "mp3s downloaded", use firefox/opera.

In general, know what your downloading.

I have never used active anti virus protection or active spyware protection and have only been hit with a virus once (my fault--enable file sharing with everyone having full access on my win 98 box. it was one for maybe 2 hours and got hit with a nasty virus) and maybe a few pieces of spyware that slipped through (most likely from other people using comp). I run a free AV program every 6 months and spyware once a month. Both are clean 98% of the time.
