every time i turn on my computer and the Windows XP screen appears with the blue bar at the bottom, it almost freezes on that screen. i cant say that it completely freezes though, because if i leave it there long enough (~15-20 minutes) it will eventually load into a usuable windows. but of course, this is not acceptable. if i push the restart button on my computer and let it load back into windows it says "Windows did not start properly, blah blah blah, would you like to start up with your most recent settings that worked or would you like to start windows normally?" I choose start windows normally and it works fine. It loads nicely and everything is dandy.
what im wondering is how i can tell windows to start up using whatever settings are present on the "Start windows normally". any suggestions?
oh, and by the way, i ran regtweak cleaner ever since i started having this problem and my reg is clean now. i've tried compacting my reg as well. i tried using bootvis and it didnt help me, and i ran loads of computer scanning software (my anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-spyware, ect) What could be my problem? im running windows XP pro 64x edition.
