I have a drive with files on it already and it has not been partitioned, would it be possible to partition it without getting rid of any of the files I have on it already?
I use Partition Magic to do all my partitioning on PCs. You have to be really careful obviously when partitioning or you might easily delete the partition containing your data. Therefore, BACK UP ALL YOUR DATA FIRST BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!
i'm pretty sure your hd has to have at least one partition to function... it is possible that some of your hd is unpartitioned still and you can make it a partition by booting w/ your window's cd.
