Hi,

Does anyone know of any free software that can be downloaded from the net which will allow you to alter pictures which were saved on my hard drive which I downloaded from the net? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What operating system are you using? Youu can use Microsoft Paint which is included in Windows.....
It really depends on the quality of the software that you want, OS you are using and which type of files you wish to edit.

Someone suggested using irfanview. Is there away to do the following with a picture using irfanview or any other software? I have a pic of some friends and myself but I am trying to edit the picture so one of them is not in the picture. How would I do it using this product? Thanks for your help.

My OS is windows 98 SE.

try this web site: gifworks.com. it will let you alter some things and I use it to alter gif's.

I also downloaded ACDSee 6.0 which is pretty good for editing and cataloging your images.
