I have had to fix two HP Pavilions circa 2001. They are poor quality, i agree.

But if you see a new HP laptop up close, they are very easy to use, most are Widescreen, and have excellent display quality for the price.


Also recommended is Toshiba, Dell, and Acer.


so with hp i get quality components and good name, but at the same time their computers are lemons and poor quality.

i'm surprised you didn't recommend celeron M as the cpu of choice for laptops.
 
sony always overpriced its crappy lap, why throw bunch of dough on it? I loving my Inspiron B130 1.8GHz 1GB 40GB 14.1" only for $449, but nice to me!
